KEF Speakers K1 SLIMLINE Vintage. Believe these were made in the 60s from a quick google. Found them in the garage where we’ve moved. No idea if they work (or what might be living inside!) they were full of cobwebs. The garage in which they’ve been taken from is dry though, and there’s no visible signs of damp or rot on the speaker casings. They aren’t in good condition or anything like that, they look their age! Just seemed a shame to take them to the tip given their age and manufacturer- hopefully they might be of interest to someone. Definitely buyer collects please, I’d estimate them to be about 15kg each. Thanks for looking.On 31-May-23 at 22:18:30 BST, seller added the following information: ****ITEM UPDATE!!!**** After reading a bit about these speakers I couldn’t resist the temptation to cautiously try them out and have a look inside. Seems these were incredibly well made- the inside is spotless (see new photos). One speaker is quiet- I daren’t turn the volume up more than #1 as it’s very distant, sounds like it’s only coming from the bottom bit. Hopefully something and nothing to someone with the knowledge. The other speaker has a very mild fuzz on quiet parts of songs, I had to add a connection to a new piece of cable so it may be my workmanship) but what a piece of kit!!!! Such a shame not to hear both in action together but these were really built for sound. I only turned the volume up just over half on this- it’s definitely got some kick at that. The system I connected them to is a B&O Beocenter 2002, I’m not techie enough to know about outputs etc to know what kind of amplifier would suit these speakers and I definitely didn’t want to hammer them and risk any damage. KEF K120 SPEAKERS. Very nice condition. Operationally sound. Enclosures in nice shape with some minor scuffs from normal use. New grills. Plastic cosmetic trim surround missing from one speaker. Listed for local pickup, but would consider shipping at actual packing and shipping cost.
