Up for sale is a pair of unique, high quality Vintage KEF Model 103.2 Reference Series speakers - these are handmade in England, and are quite the speakers for any audiophile. Both speakers were tested and perform very nicely, all drivers tested well. Reference Series Model 103.2 (1980-85) Model 103.2 was the successor to the highly regarded 103, and continued with the same two-way closed-box format, using an 8” bextrene coned bass driver which used the new three mounting-point chassis to allow mechanical decoupling from the cabinet. It was designed using KEF’s ‘total system design’ approach where drive units, filter networks and enclosures are studied and developed together to achieve a targeted response. The result was a loudspeaker which achieved a broad frequency response with optimum efficiency and yet a surprisingly small enclosure of just 19 litres. Consistent with all models in the Reference range, 103.2 included S-Stop protection circuitry, and all production systems benefited from KEF’s Reference methodology which matched the response of every system to within 1dB of the design reference, with each pair matched to within 0.5dB of each other.

KEF Reference Speakers 103.2 Type SP1121. These amazing speakers come from the golden age of the kef reference series when they were made and assembled in Maidstone in the uk . Today I have had the great pleasure in listening once again to this loudspeaker which not only has a beautiful natural midrange, but also great non boxy bass response. These are highly thought of not only in professional reviews but also In many hi fi forums . This particular pair is in very good condition , I have arranged the pictures in sets of 8 . The condition of these speakers are shown in the pictures, as you can see they are quite tatty. They have been well used, one of the cones are damaged as shown in the pictures. I have tested them both, the one with the damaged cone plays distorted as you would imagine, the second speaker seems to play fine. Please can you look at all the pictures to get a good idea of the condition. Only bid if you are happy with what you see. As these are quite heavy im am making this sale as collection only from EN1 OR N21.

Verkaufe Tang Band W5-2106 in KEF LS 50 Gehäuse in schönem gepflegtem Zustand aus Erstbesitz.Nachdem die originalen Chassis defekt waren, habe ich die Gehäuse mit Tang Band W5-2106 bestückt. Das Ergebnis fand ich persönlich besser als die original Chassis. Die Breitbänder können mit DSP oder den mitgelieferten Korrekturgliedern betrieben werden. Sehr gut geeignet für die Aufstellung im Regal oder auf dem Sideboard. Sowohl die Chassis als auch die Gehäuse sind neuwertig; bei Versand wird im original KEF Karton verschickt. Bei Selbstabholung können die Lautsprecher natürlich probegehört werden. Der Preis gilt natürlich für ein Paar (2 Lautsprecher) Viel Spass beim bieten!
