These iconic speakers were owned by my Uncle, who recently past away. They sound great. At some point the Woofers were refoamed. A couple of the tweeter need replaced. The cabinets and speaker covers are in good condition. They are located in Tucson, Arizona. Will not ship. They must be picked up in Tucson. QLS-1is a 4-way 17 driver tower consisting of 8 front firing EMITs, 1 rear firing EMIT, 6 soft dome midrange drivers, 1 mid-bass coupler driver in a tube TL alignment, and 1 Watkins 12 dual-drive woofer (poly cone). According to Infinity's literature of the time, the QLS uses a phase-aligned passive crossover network and is capable of 18Hz to 32KHz +/- 3db response. Each tower is about 6ft tall and weighs 190lbs! Cabinets are constructed from with 1 inch particle board with walnut veneer over it. Lot of speaker weight is attributed by the thick & heavily damped cabinets. QLS are a dipole design with rear firing tweeter (can be turned off) and mid bass port is open to the back. They throw a wide and huge soundstage with great imaging and dynamics. Speakers disappear while playing music and it seems like music is there...floating and not directly coming from them. Crystal clean highs with a lot of air -- 48 inch strip of EMIT drivers! (Not many speakers I heard have this kind of highs -- silky smooth and extended), sweet midrage, and thunderous bass -- no need for a subwoofer! Dual voice coil design produces astonishingly accurate, tight and deep bass all the way down to 18hz!

Up for your consideration, is a pair of kappa 12” woofers . This model (902-3054) was used in the kappa 7, 8 and 9 speakers. It is part of their great img line ( injection molded graphite) of woofers. This pair was recently refoamed along with new dust caps as I prefer to shim the voice coils when refoaming to assure no voice coil rub possibilities. These are functioning perfectly. Only selling because I have way to much infinity Kappa stuff and need to downsize somewhat. I have seen units in need of refoaming selling in the $200 range a pair here. If yours need repair consider selling yours and grabbing these. They are in my all time favorite speaker list. Die alten Stecker hab ich schon abgelötet, die Polydome wurden getestet und funktionieren einwandfrei. These high end danish bookshelf speakers were made for the European market and imported to the US for only a couple of years, so they’re pretty rare in the states. They punch way beyond their weight and are beautiful with their streamlined shape and cherry veneer. Set up for biwiring, they do include post connectors — they also boast a 6 ohm impedance, so they are ready to make the most of your high end integrated amplifier. Excellent operating condition - tested at volume. There are some minor cosmetic issues (see pictures) - one speaker has a 4” by 1” area where the cherry veneer has peeled. The other has a couple very minor dings - other than that beautiful as designed.

This pair of speakers was pulled out of a working set. Please see photos for condition. One of the woofers surrounds has some holes that are poked into it so if you see that beware that’s how it is being sold. Speakers work as is but if you want them to be perfect they will need the surround repaired on one of them

This is the midrange from one of my CS-3006 speakers. It works and sounds great, but as you can see in the picture, it will need re-foaming to sound it’s best.
