Description
Tested typical functions including high speed direct CD dubbing/finalizing and works well. Please see pictures and video for cosmetic and functional condition. Will ship carefully packaged by me, thank you. Great CD-R features, including rarities like pitch control and mic mixing, abound in this JVC. You get one-touch track/disc recording, even high-speed (2X) whole-disc dubbing, from the 3-CD changer on the left side of the unit to the CD-R/W recorder on the right. For musicians or DJs (or just for fun!) theres a microphone input for recording live sound to CD-R. You can evenmix and recordmic sound with CD sound, mic sound with line input sound, or line input sound with CD sound. The triple-tray changer allows quick, independent access to each disc, and offers pitch control for added flexibility. Enhanced CompuLink allows communication with compatible JVC gear. Note:Component CD recorders let you record to CD-R (write-once recordable CD) discs or CD-RWs (rewritable CDs), for playback in almost all newer home, car and portable CD players and changers. (Check your specific model of CD player for disc compatibility.)Remember: Blank computer CDs are not compatible with audio CD recorders,so be sure to useblank audio discs(the logo on the discs packaging must include the words Digital Audio). plays CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs; records to CD-Rs, CD-RWs internal high-speed dubbing (2X) one-touch track/disc synchro dubbing triple-tray CD changer with random play, continuous play, 32-track programming, and pitch control 12% optical digital input/output line input/output mono microphone input (microphone not included) sampling rate converter record/play timer remote control Enhanced CompuLink Serial Copy Management System CD playback signal-to-noise ratio 97 dB 17-3/16W x 5H x 12-13/16D Features Compatibility: CD-Rs:CD-Rs made on this recorder will play on almost all newer CD players (home, auto, portables) and on some DVD players. They will not play on many DVD players or some older CD players. CD-RWs:CD-RWs will not play on most current CD players but will play on some DVD players. Sampling frequency converter:This converts 32 kHz and 48 kHz to 44.1 kHz allowing this unit to make a digital recording from other digital equipment such as DIRECTV or DAT.A sampling rate converter through feature (for 44.1 kHz sources ONLY) bypasses the converter to allow you to record HDCD and DTS encoded discs alsohowever, in order to bypass the converter you must record at normal speed (X1) not fast speed (X2) Note:Compatibility assumes that the CD-R, or CD-RW, has been finalized (TOC fixed). Please note that this units 3CD player will play back CD-Rs and CD-RWs, but only if they have been finalized. Playback:This unit will playback all the discs loaded in the three CD trays in sequence and stop. The playback order depends on which of the three CDs is selected. If one of the trays does not contain a CD the tray is skipped. Random playback will randomly play tracks from all discs loaded in the three trays, so the only way to play one CD or to perform random play on one CD is to only load one CD. Hi-Speed recording:When recording from the internal CD player you can record at normal speed or at High speed (2 times normal speed). High speed recording can not be used when by-passing the sampling rate converter; when recording in analog mode, when pitch adjustments are made, or when using mixed input recording. CD Playback Pitch Control:You can vary the pitch on any of the three internal CD players by up to +/-12% in 1% increments. When the pitch is adjusted you can only record in analog mode; if you attempt to record in digital mode the playback speed will automatically be adjusted to standard speed. Synchronized Start Recording:When recording from an external unit connected to either the digital input or analog input this will automatically start recording when the unit senses an audio input signal from the external component. Mixed Input Recording:Allows you to select up to two sources (the internal CD player, a component connected to the line input, or a microphone); balance the level of the two units and record to this units CDR/W recorder. SCMS:Like all otherconsumerhome CD recorders this unit uses the Serial Copy Management System and will not allow you to make a second digital copy from a first generation digital copy. Repeat:You can repeat all CDs, one CD, a single track, or in random or program mode. You can not use the repeat function in the record tray. Random Mode:Randomly switches between tracks and CDs in the three CD trays. You can not use the random function in the record tray. Program mode:You can program a maximum of 32 tracks from any of the three CDs. You can not program a disc in the record tray. Disc Exchange:You can change up to two discs while the third is playing. Disc Lock Function:Allows you to lock the 3 CD trays and CDR tray so that discs can not be inserted or removed. Timer:This unit has a built in 12 hour clock which can be used for timer play and record. The play timer can be set to a daily timer or for one time use. You can play back a CD in the three trays or the recorder well. Timer recorder allows you to record one daily event to a CD-R or CDRW in the recorder tray. The recording can be made from either a digital or analog source or a microphone, but the source must be from an external source (you can not timer record from the units 3-tray CD player). Recording: Manual recording:Allows you to record digitally (from a CD in one of the three internal trays or an external digital source), in analog mode (from an internal CD, an external source or an optional mono microphone. Recording levels must be set manually using the units level control, during digital recording the record level is set automatically. Synchronized CD recording:Allows you to record an entire CD from the internal CD trays. Synchronized single track recording:Allows you to record a track being played in the internal CD player by pushing one button. Listening Edit Recording:Allows you to program tracks from the internal CD players to record (maximum of 32 tracks). Maximum number of tracks:Up to 99 tracks can be recorded on a CDR or CDRW. A track must be at least 4 seconds long. Editing: CD-R:The only editing possible with a CD-R is adding or clearing a skip ID prior to finalizing the disc.Recorded time can not be recovered.Tracks can not be moved, edited or erased, and cannot be numbered or re-numbered after recording. Once a CD-R has been finalized no further editing and/or recording is possible, even if blank space was available on the disc. A maximum of 21 tracks can be skipped. A skip track mark can not be removed after it is placed. CD-RW:A CD-RW can be erased and new tracks can be made after erasing data. Tracks can be erased sequentially (for example, if you erase track 6 you will also erase any tracks after 6, such as 7 and 8). A CD-RW can be unfinalized after it has been finalized to allow you to record new tracks or erase old tracks. Inputs and Outputs Front panel: Phones:Standard gold plated headphone jack with variable volume control Microphone:Standard gold plated microphone jack with variable mix balance control Rear panel: Optical Digital Input:Standard Toslink digital input (with cover) Optical Digital Output:Standard Toslink optical digital output (with cover) Line Out:Stereo RCA analog output Rec in:Stereo RCA analog input Compu Link - 4 Synchro: Two Minijacks for remote system control connection to a compatible JVC unit. Mode switch: (CDR/TD) = Unless a JVC receiver has CompuLink 4 it will not recognize the CDR in this unit and this switch should be set to TD if CompuLink connections are made. If it does have CompuLink 4 this switch should be set to CDR. Specifications The specifications for the CDR/W are as follows: Playback signal to noise ratio:97 dB Playback dynamic range:93 dB Playback THD:0.0042% This recorder is a consumer CD-R/W player/recorder.Note:As with all other such players you MUST use audio CD-Rs or CD-RWs.CD-Rs or CD-RWs which are made for computer use will NOT work. The words Digital Audiowill appear on all compatible discs. This unit also uses the SCMS copyright system, so you can not make a digital copy of a digital copy.
