A necessary loss in order to allow us to keep using this awesome boombox. Some light rust on one of the buckles on carry strap. JVC RV-DP200 44W 2001 Retro Boombox Ghetto Blaster CD Cassette Radio Aux Woofers. A rare early noughties monster of a boombox! This is big, loud, heavy with many interesting features. Changeable bass woofer volume, aux input, guitar and mic inputs, drum pads, scratch and pitch effects, CD, cassette and radio, vu meter, complete with original remote and shoulder strap. While this is working and functioning well, the low price reflects a few issues you should be aware of… The cassette player, CD player, and radio have all been tested and are working great. The aux in, guitar input and microphone input have not been tested. The remote has been tested with batteries with no issues, the boombox has not been tested with batteries. Neither the remote or the boombox battery compartments have any acid issues. The volume and woofer volume knobs on the front panel are quite temperamental and don’t always respond to being turned as they should do. If you are into fixing this kind of thing it may just be some contact cleaning required. Otherwise the remote volumes work flawlessly so the boombox knobs can be avoided and adjusted using the remote without issues. There is something rattling around inside but there are no other known faults to suggest that something is broken inside. It may be something that got inside through the vents on the bottom/back. There is slight denting to the speaker grills. There is also some fraying to the strap padding and a rubber dust plug missing from the guitar input port. Also it looks like someone may have tried to use the air vents on the back side to hold the strap Clips at one point as one is worn on the cross bar ad the other has been snapped. Other than these cosmetic issues, and the panel volume issues, this seems to be very functional and has a great sound, clear at very loud volumes. See the reviews online!
