An audiophile dream. This high end Jolida tube amp is absolutely breathtaking. Its Electro Harmonics tubes produce sound like no other. 100 wpc of big tube power. The large widow and mirrored back wall look amazing. Especially when tubes are glowing. All functions work as they should. Remote included. The Jolida is built like a tank (no plastic, including the famous remote) and sounds warm and wonderful with any type of music. After reading all the positive reviews and listening, we bought this new Jolida JD100 Vacuum Tube Reference CD player. It was a perfect match to our system, which included a tube amplifier and Quad ESL-57 speakers. Its 24/96 Burr Brown DAC is considered one of the best. Because we expected to keep this CD player forever, we purchased factory back up tubes and a spare Phillips CDM 12 Transport System laser assembly. That would have been that - until we bought the Audio Note 3.1x/II CD player for $8,500.00. That makes our Jolida JD100 available. It is in pristine condition, no cosmetic defects, and in excellent working order, but once a week or so experiences a tracking click. Its been like this for years, has never gotten worse and never bothers us, but we did get it diagnosed by a Jolida tech. This is why there is a spare laser assembly included. In the future if it ever becomes worse, it can be repaired. For headphone listeners, there is a front-panel headphone jack/amp (Output: 35 mW, 32 ohms) with its own playback volume control that would allow it to function as a stand-alone system.
