This is the ultimate expression of the Shure Phono Cartridge Lineage-the later V15VxMR and M97xE never came close to the heights of the V15V and V15V-MR. With the cessation of the original Shure Stylii, JICO has stepped in and created replacement Stylii that are even better than the originals! They may be true but after I bought them I was told they are purely for audiophiles & not DJs playing on Technique SL1200 turntables! A vintage but very well maintained as primary turntable. It is rarely used. FIRST and ONLY OWNER. Bought it brand new back in 1983. Functions and sounds great. Typical musical British sound you can listen to for a long time without fatigue. The Jico SAS stylus N97xE (todays retail value $282) makes a huge difference in sound quality. SHURE M95HE MOVING MAGNET PHONO CARTRIDGE WITH JICO SAS B STYLUS COMPLETE OPERATIONAL CONDITION EXCEPTIONAL ANALOG REPRODUCTION This listing is for a vintage Shure M95HE moving magnet phono cartridge with a Jico SAS B (Boron) stylus. I purchased this stylus new a few years ago. I usually have up to a dozen phono cartridges in rotation at any given time so they are not constantly used. This combo has been a stellar performer absolutely offering superior analog reproduction from the LP medium. I have been using this on a completely rebuilt Linn LP12 turntable from 1979. Tonearms have been Moth (Rega) RB220 and Ortofon TA-110 with exceptional results. This will still give you a taste of what the M95HE/SAS B can achieve offering superior performance for its price point. Cosmetically this is in top notch condition with no detriment, a very well preserved example of the M95HE. I do not use liquid stylus cleaners, only Linn Green Paper for years. Denon DP-23F Fully Automatic Servo Controlled, Quartz Locked Direct Drive Turntable system. Fitted with a SHURE Era IV M97HE cartridge and a Brand New JICO SAS/b Stylus. The turntable itself is in fantastic condition. There are the typical swirls and hairline scratches on the dustcover (see pics) and there are a couple of lite scraps on the front (also see pics dead-center of the platter) but there are NO cracks, gouges, or any breaks. Both hinges are 100%. All functions are working as they should. Speed is working, size selector is working, tonearm position sensors are working. Very smooth operation. Turntable comes with its original matching serialized box and packing with original owners manual. The Phone Cartridge also includes the original SHURE box with all parts, accessories, and literature. The Original N97HE stylus is also included as is the Jico SAS/b Box and literature. The B stands for Boron Cantilever. Also included is a soft quilted cover for the turntable, which is why this unit looks so good some 30+ years after it was purchased. Also included is a laser etched Arc Protractor made just for this turntable used to setup/align the phono cartridge. I am starting the bidding at below the cost of the JICO SAS/b stylus. Shure V15VXMR with light use Jico SAS/B stylus. Shure sek-2 microscope pics show use on micro ridge stylus. The V15VXMR with original stylus is known to have a rolled off top end compared to the V15VMR which measures flat. the XMR with the jico stylus alleviates that issue without taking it into audio technica brightness which occurs when using a SAS/B with a V15VMR body.
