Field Coil speakers.This unit will power two of these massive Woofers so only one is needed for stereo .Will also work with other types as well.Working voltage is in the range of 260 vdc.These power supplies were used in Movie Theatres Auditoriums Train Stations ETC.Made by Northern Electric in Canada in the 1930s using patents and components from Western Electric .This is using a 5X4 rectifier tube .I did power it up using a variable power supply and is working condition.Came in a Northern Electric Mirrophonic sound rack witch was as removed from a old movie theatre in Northern Ontario that used an M18 Jensen woofer and a Western Electric 707F Horn driver..I have posted photos of the original sound rack and overall schematic so you can see where the connections were made.A service manual is included.
