This transformer comes from a tape machine setup. Theres a dent on the case, but it works perfectly and dont pick up any noise. It is PERFECT for MC-step-up, close to a Western Electric 618B, with just a little lower turns ratio. Originally used as a tape head to preamp input, its a recording studio quality transformer made by Jensen transformers back in the golden era of tube and discrete audio electronics. Its a really rare finding! I used to have more of these, but sold them all on Ebay, a long time ago. This is the last pair Ive kept for personal use, but Ill have to also let these go now. You wont see this very often. Seems like a custom job from Jensen. I actually never seen anything alike. I just know these are made by Jensen transformers because I collect professional audio transformers for over 25 years now, and I know this is jensen mumetal case, a Jensen part number (starts with JE) and also classic Jensen letter printing on model name and soldering pins. I know my stuff, and have tested transformers from all of the very best manufacturers, vintage and new production, likeJorgen Shou JS, Western Electric, Langevin, Marinair, Parmeko, Partridge, UTC, Tamura, Peerless, Triad, Thordarson, Chicago, Beyerdynamic, Altec, Telefunken, Malotki, Siemens, Seinnheiser, Lundahl, Raphaelite, Haufe, Pikatron, Sowter, etc. These are my tests: Pri 1.7R resistance Sec 550R resistance 1:14 turns ratio Impedances: Primary 5-40 ohms Secondary 1k-8k ohms These are possible impedance ratio connections with these wonderful transformers: 5:1k ohms 6:1k2 ohms 7:1k4 ohms 8:1k6 ohms 10:2k ohms 15:3k ohms 20:4k ohms 30:6k ohms 40:8k ohms Its just perfect for most low impedance MC cartridges. Buy this and use it to make your preferred moving coil cartridges come alive. This transformer was born to shine with the best cartridges from Ortofon, Shure, Denon, Accuphase, Goldring, Nagoka, Audio Technica, ADC, Roksan, Rega, Koetsu, Grado, Clearaudio, Sumiko, Benz Micro, My Sonic Lab, Hana, ZYX, Miyajima, Vertere Acoustics, Ana Mighty Sound, Charisma Audio, Allnic Audio, Soundsmith, Lyra, Acoustical Systems, MoFi, Shelter, etc. The inductance is high and the resistance of the windings are low. This is a SOLID option made by one of the Americas greatest audio transformer manufacturing companies. I can provide professional wiring info to the buyer, if needed. Get these while you can! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 limitations (yes, still), I cant ship to Australia. Dont ask me why. More good audio parts in my other items. Make sure you check it!

JENSEN MARINE AM/FM RADIO W/ CASSETTE MODEL JSM 94 HIGH POWER 4x15 -UNTESTED- The radio is untested, the person I bought it from said it was working last it was used but has been stored for a while. It looks like someone took care of it when putting it away with the zip ties but I cannot say for sure it works 100% in all aspects. Its a older model marine radio made by Jensen and model JSM 94 and has a cassette player as well as as/fm. Marked 415 high power. The handle moves back and forth but doesnt seem to lock in place. Not sure it needs to either. Still has the cassette cover. The radios has some scratches and scuffs but in good physical condition. Comes as seen in pics. Any questions just ask. The radio is rather heavy just under 4lbs unpacked and will be just over 4lbs packed. Will leave two shipping options. See shipping details for shipping prices. All options will be available at checkout.

  • Description

Offered for your consideration is a pair of vintage Jensen C12PF C9635 12 inch woofers removed from my walnut-clad Model 5 three-way, four-driver speakers, USA- manufactured in 1974. As per the EIA source/date codes on the magnet covers, “2207416” and”2207421”, these woofers were made by Jensen (220) in the 16th and 21st weeks, respectively, of 1974. I believe these woofers are suitable for other period Jensen speakers, but the buyer is responsible for verifying compatibility with their needs. So, please see my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if these capable Jensen woofers should become yours. These woofers are in clean, very good condition. They have sturdy textured paper cones that have no chips or cracks, just some minor edge scuffs and a spot of errant factory assembly epoxy on one. Plus, the textile voice coil dustcaps are dimple-free perfect. Also, the black-enameled steel baskets have no dents or undie oxidation, just some minor finish wear as pictured. And, there is some minor wear to the flange gaskets and one underside cabinet flange seal segment has gone missing, as pictured. Most importantly, the heavily-aged original polyurethane foam suspension was just replaced with modern polyether foam surrounds that have the correct “flat-attach” inner profile. The main drawback to most U.S. and foreign-made speakers from the early 1970’s to mid 1990’s was the use of foam for the woofer surrounds. Though foam offers excellent cone excursion, it invariably rots and/or disintegrates in 12-20 years no matter what climate you live in. Light is the culprit, seemingly, sunlight in particular. These woofers were no exception—the surrounds had dried up and fallen apart many years ago, taking the cherished Model 5 speakers out of service and into a closet. Sound familiar? Some of you have replaced woofer surrounds before, so you know that it’s a time-consuming process that takes a great deal of patience and a steady hand. First, I removed the hard paper flange gasket sections and carefully cleaned the cone edge/basket flanges to remove the old gummy foam and stubborn factory adhesives, which takes some time to do thoroughly. Then, I glued the inner surrounds to the cones. Next, I glued the outer surrounds to the basket flanges after careful centering to ensure no voice coil rub. Lastly, the factory flange gaskets’ undersides were cleaned and they were neatly reapplied to the flanges. Overnight drying of the glue was allowed for each step of the process to achieve the clean and perfect results you see here. Now these woofers are in great shape once again—perhaps even better than new with the improved polyether foam surrounds of today. Most importantly, these woofers have been fully tested after the new surrounds were installed and they sound terrific—very clear with exceptional midrange and solid low-end response. I also tested their DC resistance at a perfectly-matched 6.2? each, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the basket flanges measure 12 1/16” in diameter, they stand 5¼” tall, and the mounting holes are spaced 8¼” adjacent (skipping a hole) / 11?” diagonal, c-t-c. This is a great find if your Model 5, or other suitable Jensen speakers, have been sitting idle with decayed surrounds and will have your cherished speakers sounding their finest once again in no time! As pictured and described, this pair of Jensen 12” woofers with painstakingly refurbished surrounds is offered at a competitive price. Terms of Sale: I encourage interested parties to ask any questions they may have about this listing before committing to purchase as there are no cancellations, returns, refunds, or claims considered. Thanks for looking! *The woofers will be placed face-to-face, with a piece of round cardboard between them, and secured with strong nylon ties at four mounting holes. Then they’ll be wrapped with bubble sheets and placed in a sturdy box with additional protective materials. This will ensure the cones, surrounds, terminals, and magnets are fully protected and that there are no disappointments! *the cabinet decal photo is presented only for donor model reference

This transformer comes from a tape machine setup. This is the exact same shielding case and very similar pin diameter and aspec, same pinout and and also the potting compound color and feel are very close when compared to the other JENSEN transformer in my other auctions. It differs slightly, has no model number and also a bit different specs when tested, but nothing that big. I guess its an early render or a prototype or something tgat was in one of the cards from the taoe recorder I took them from. It is PERFECT for MC-step-up, close to a Western Electric 618B, with just a little lower turns ratio. Originally used as a tape head to preamp input, its a recording studio quality transformer made by Jensen transformers back in the golden era of tube and discrete audio electronics. Its a really rare find! I used to have more of these, but sold them all on Ebay, a long time ago. This is the last pair Ive kept for personal use, but Ill have to also let these go now. You wont see this very often. Seems like a custom job from Jensen. I actually never seen anything alike. I just know the transformers from these cards are made by Jensen transformers because I collect professional audio transformers for over 25 years now, and I know this is jensens mumetal case, a Jensen part number (starts with JE) and also classic Jensen letter printing on model name and soldering pins, and although this particular one lacks the last bit, all the other transformers that looks pretty similar and came from the same cards had those Jensen signature marks. It has all the other Jensen characteristics thought. These are my tests: Pri 11R resistance Sec 167R resistance 1:9 turns ratio Impedances: Primary 15 - 100 ohms Secondary 1k2-8k ohms These are possible impedance ratio connections with these wonderful transformers: 15:1k2 ohms 20:1k6 ohms 30:2k4 ohms 40:3k2 ohms 10:2k ohms 50:4k ohms 60:4k8 ohms 75:6k ohms 100:8k ohms Its just perfect for most low impedance MC cartridges.
