JBL Synthesis SDEC-2500A Digital Equalizer Controller. Selling an extra SDEC-2500A that has been laying around. I do not have the power cable for this and can not find it anywhere. Otherwise this is in working condition.

This JBL is (mostly!) working and sounds great. On the analog inputs, Tape, Tuner, Aux, V-Disc and VCR are all working. For some reason, I’m not getting any output on DVD, CD, or TV inputs. It’s quite possible I don’t have something configured correctly on this complicated beast, but just putting the input into those selections did not work. Lots of customization, with many sound mode options (Jazz, Classical, Rock, etc). Plain old two channel sounds best to me. Digital inputs and surrounds not tested; just analog through front left and right. The other issue to note is the volume control is touchy. Little physical inputs sometimes leads to large volume changes, and also the opposite is true. Probably needs a De-Oxit bath. Could be a true gem for someone, but with these issues, this is an as-is parts or repair, no return auction. Any questions at all, please do ask before bidding. Each of the trio of S800’s we were using them as bridged monoblocks at 800W per!
