Offered for your consideration is a vintage Infinity #902-4144 2 inch Polyspherite dome midrange driver removed from my RS4001 loudspeakers, manufactured c.1991. The 902-4144 was also used in the RS5001 and RS6001. So, please take a look at my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this superb Infinity mid driver should be yours. *Although the listing is written largely in singular to avoid any confusion, two (2) identical Infinity 902-4144 midranges are available for purchase at time of this writing. Please choose if you’d like to buy one or both in the quantity field at the top of the listing. The shipping cost will be automatically calculated by eBay checkout. This Infinity dome midrange is in clean, excellent condition. It has a perfect radiating surface with no dings or dimples. Plus, the faceplate has no cracks or scratches. And, the industry-standard .205” +/- terminals are marked for polarity (red line side = pos) and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this Infinity mid looks practically new! Most importantly, it has been fully tested and sounds very clear, with fast, detailed response in the critical midrange frequencies. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 3.8? consistent with a 4 ohm nominal driver rating. Lastly, the faceplate measures 4?” diameter, it stands about 2?” tall (incl. the dome), and the mount holes are spaced 3?” adjacent / 4¼” diagonal apart, c-t-c. This is a nice find for someone that has a blown or damaged dome midrange(s) in their RS4001 or other suitable c.1989-91 Infinity Reference Series model—your speakers will be sounding their best again in no time! Long out-of-production, it would also make a smart spare to have for future needs. As described, this remarkable Infinity 2” Polyspherite dome midrange driver is offered at a competitive price. Infinity RS6001 Speakers In Black Opportunity to grab this rare pair of Infinity floor standing speakers. I think the previous owner had the infinitys stored in the garage as they were a little dirty, they have been cleaned but there is a little on some of the driver dust caps. They have picked up a couple of knocks. The drivers did require new foams which have been replaced and there slight imbalance between the speakers with one sounding louder than the other. They are a very good sounding vintage speakers with lots of presence to the music, the EMIT tweeter sounds beautiful and a good amount of quality bass.
