Radioshack SSM-1000 Equalizer This item powers up but that is the extent of my testing. Item came from an estate sale and the previous owner was a radio and aviation enthusiast. Everything was well cared for, meticulously stored and appeared to be clean. While there is a chance this unit has issues I would think its unlikely but cannot guarantee perfect operation as I lack the setup to fully test it. It started to develop an issue where the screen flickered and is now blank (occasionally turning back on). The backlight is still working fine and also audio is fine, it’s just the picture. All in unmarked, and basically new condition. Did a bit of research and many reports saying this could be something called a T-con board, which seems to be an inexpensive part to replace. Paid about £1300 for this, and completely gutted that it could fail in only 2 years. Was a fantastic tv whilst working and was their higher end model. I’ve gone down the Samsung warranty route, but unfortunately this only seems to cover 1-year and they then fob you onto their “authorised repair Centre” with the nearest being Birmingham, it’s then a cost for them to check it to determine whether this is a manufacturing fault. I also tried the Sales of Goods Act with the retailer as this should cover up to 5-years as the retailer’s responsibility, however they are making me jump through hoops and being very evasive, and to be honest with 2 young kids and an extremely busy life, I just don’t have the time, so I’ve put in the garage and listing on here. Hopefully somebody has the time, patience (and minimal cost) to fix, and will end up with a brilliant tv ! I’ve gone down the Samsung warranty route, but unfortunately this only seems to cover 1-year and they then fob you onto their “authorised repair Centre” with the nearest being Birmingham, it’s then a cost for them to check it to determine whether this is a manufacturing fault. I also tried the Sales of Goods Act with the retailer as this should cover up to 5-years as the retailer’s responsibility, however they are making me jump through hoops and being very evasive, and to be honest with 2 young kids and an extremely busy life, I just don’t have the time, so I’ve put in the garage and listing on here. Hopefully somebody has the time, patience (and minimal cost) to fix, and will end up with a brilliant tv ! Samsung QE55Q70RATXXU 55 QLED 4K, HDR 1000, Smart TV *see description*. TV is only 2 years old. Immaculate condition, and very little use (as used in our second room). It started to develop an issue where the screen flickered and is now blank (occasionally turning back on). The backlight is still working fine and also audio is fine, it’s just the picture. All in unmarked, and basically new condition. Did a bit of research and many reports saying this could be something called a T-con board, which seems to be an inexpensive part to replace. Paid about £1300 for this, and completely gutted that it could fail in only 2 years. Was a fantastic tv whilst working and was their higher end model.
