Harman Kardon HK 825 stereo preamplifier. Used but still plays and sounds great. Cosmetically it has some dust and several lite scuffs / scratches.

Harman Kardon HK 825Vorstufe, Vorverstärker Zustand: Die Vorstufe besitzt zwei unabhängig voneinander geschaltete Phono-Eingänge für MM und MC. Davon ist ein Eingang nicht mehr geschaltet, beim anderen wurde ein neues Phono Modul von der Hifi-Zeile eingebaut, hier funktioniert der MM und der MC Eingang. Alle anderen Eingänge, Schalter etc. funktionieren ohne Beanstandung, da sie im Zusammenhang mit dem Einbau des Phono Moduls vor zwei Jahren gereinigt bzw. instandgesetzt wurden. I Trotz dieser Zustandsbeschreibung verkaufe ich die Vorstufe aber wegen des einen nicht funktionierenden Phono Einganges als defekt und weil aufgrund des Alters Potentiometer oder Schalter zum Kratzen neigen könnten. Die Endstufe HK 870 und der Tuner auf dem Angebotsbildern sind nicht Bestandteil dieser Anzeige und werden separat angeboten. Privatverkauf, daher ohne jegliche Gewährleistung.

Original owner. Excellent condition. This is a preamp, not a power amplifier. eBay does not have a “preamp” option for type. This and a matching HK870 (in a separate auction) were my college graduation present in 1986. The unit works perfectly. The sound is excellent. Only selling because I don’t use it anymore. I have a video of the unit working that I can send. The HK825 has a protection circuit that delays for anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds when you first turn it on. My unit has a delay in this range. I have the original owners manual, but not the original box. Buyer pays $30 shipping. I have been stung by eBay’s calculation of shipping in the past and will not be bound by their calculation. I am setting this shipping cost at $30. Lower 48 residential shipping only.
