Not getting any use. Surplus to requirements. Aerial fully intact. Tuner fine. Speakers with wired terminals detach nicely. Both cassette players are working. Nice sound. Record not tested. Fast forward and rewind working on both decks. Equaliser. Stop eject button on the right side is sitting below the others as shown. Doesnt effect operation. Still stops and ejects fine. A little crackle sound on some of the controls at times. Probably would benefit from a little deoxit spray to clean the switches. Due to standing. This is a 1980s player. Vintage 1980s Hitachi TRK-W540E Radio Twin Cassette Hi-Fi Boombox Ghetto Blaster With Detachable wired speakers Please view my short video in the photo section of the listing showing the ghetto working Excellent Clean Condition, this has been dry stored in my brothers wardrobe for decades and as he is now having a clear out is surplus to requirements. The aerial is fully functionable and extracts and detracts with no bends or kinks, tunes in very easily to your favourite radio station with bands FM, MW, LW & SW. The detachable speakers are wired and there is some damage dents / dings to the left speaker grille, both cassette decks play cassettes, but deck 2 would benefit from having the heads cleaned. The volume control works and is nice and loud, but the left channel speaker volume is quiet. The record function has not been tested and the graphic equalizer works perfectly. The ghetto is supplied with a built in power lead which is fitted with its original Everready 3 pin B.S. Type G plug to be able to run the ghetto on mains electric, but the ghetto can also be powered by batteries of which the terminals are all clean and free of any oxidization and the compartment is nice and clean. The carry handle also functions as intended. Dimension Overall Length 58cm, Height not including carry handle or aerial 22cm, Depth 18cm.

Record players /Cassette - Hitachi Model SDT-116 Vintage 1980’s +Speakers. An absolutely stunning retro music centre complete with a pair of SS8510 Wooden Housed Hitachi Speakers. This complete unit is in fantastic Condition for its age (( Over 40 Years Old!!!!). It will make for a superb talking point in any home, business,home bar ,or indeed anywhere that you want some retro item mixed in to your lifestyle. So, The unit powers up fine and I can get feedback via both speakers from the stylus, The radio tuner works fine and I obtained various radio stations loud and clear so generally all knobs and buttons work well. I was unable to get the cassette deck to function and likewise the turntable, both I imagine can be resolved by someone that knows their Hi Fi. So to be transparent You should deem this a great project which I sincerely hope is the case or of course a spares ad speaker buy. Thank you for looking and I hope this item finds a great new home.
