Harman Kardon 430 Twin Powered Receiver We had this unit serviced at some point to clean the pots and recondition some of the internal components. I pulled it out after a decade of sitting and the switches for various components are sticky… once you activate them l, they tend to stay pressed down and need some gentle wiggling to deactivate. I am not sure what was done exactly during the prior service but the switches were probably not lubricator well, or just need additional cleaning. I didn’t get too far with the testing but both channels produce sound and there is minimal cracking. All seems to be in good shape externally as far as cosmetics. I am selling this as is and for purposes of repair. To the right owner, this will be a wonderful receiver once serviced. It’s a true gem. The HK 730 twin power is in very good physically and electronically. The face and case are in excellent condition. Sound quality is excellent, plenty of power no snap crackle or popping, fm and am is strong, phono, tape and aux 1 & 2 sections are clean. All channels working on both A & B speaker outputs, headphone output is as it should be. I love the older HK units, I have owned the 430, 630, 730 and 930 and I love them all, the channel separation and soundstage are fantastic and the sound characteristics are warm and tube like. I have two units to choose from. I am happy to audition both.
