I am parting out my Dual tonearm Turntable and this was on my 12 arm. It is pretty much brand new and not even broken in yet. 4 hours max. it was a very nice sounding 4 hours and it is only going to get better from here. My Jelco TK850L tonearm and this cartridge were professionally set up for me but I am parting it all out. I kept the stylus cover on it unless it as playing. These are amazing cartridges and a superb amount of sound for the money. They are highly rated and I checked what these were actually selling for before listing this one. It is well packaged back in its original box along with mounting hardware and documentation. I pulled this info from a website: Hana cartridges ML are designed and manufactured by ExcelSound Corporation of Japan. According to its website, this 45-year-old company has more than 50 years of cartridge-making experience, much of it OEM work for other companies. An Internet search of available cartridge databases shows that Excel cartridges of the past very closely resemble some offerings of certain major brands.The Hana ML has a micro-line tip profile and a low output, this tip shape is said to more closely match that on the cutting head of a vinyl mastering lathe and therefore should offer greater accuracy of detail retrieval. The shape does make it more fussy about alignment however, and the absence of flat sides on the ML don’t help in this regard. Unlike the plastic bodies of Hana’s more affordable models the ML (and MH for that matter) has an injection moulded Delrin body. This is an engineering plastic that is sometimes used for turntable platters and has excellent damping qualities. It’s topped by a brass plate which provides constrained layer damping and brings the weight up to 9.5 grams, making it easier to match with respect to tonearms. The presence of threaded inserts greatly aids installation and allows sufficient tightening of the mounting bolts.The M series Hana cartridges are cryogenically treated all the way from the cantilever through high purity copper coils and out to the connecting pins, they also have Alnico magnets, luxuries not found in their more affordable counterparts. For sale is my used Hana ML MC cartridge. This is one of the top bargains in the world of MC cartridges. I’ve recently replaced it with a £3.5k cartridge and while its better there are still some qualities I miss of the ML and can attest to how good this is for the price. Yes it’s a lot of money to spend on a cartridge but worth every penny. So why not try before you buy ? This is in good condition with 100’s of hours left on it. It is wet cleaned before every use and my records are ultrasonically cleaned which has meant this is still in great shape. I could leave it in the garage to gather dust but thought someone would want to hear and enjoy this cartridge, possibly before buying a new one yourself later for £1,050. You might even get a trade-in discount and recoup what you are paying. Comes in the original packaging with bolts, Allen key, instructions and the brush, which has never been used. It is in flawless physical condition, zero scratches, zero marks as you can see in the photos. Works absolutely flawlessly.
