1970s Yacht Boy 210 TRANSISTOR RADIO DIAL This is an Original Grundig Radio DIAL. The item is in good and clean condition with no cracks . Some signs of cosmetic age wear is normal to be expected as per a 50 years old item. Please enlarge the photos to see the cosmetic condition in details. This Iconic Grundig Model 210 Yacht-Boy operates on all bands providing it is powered by an external 9-volt DC supply via the wires marked in one of the photographs. The sound quality is superb and it can be very loud however the volume control does not turn down properly. Tone control and all push buttons are functioning as they should. it has the original antenna which is not bent. Tuning is also functioning normally. It was manufactured in Germany in 1970 and covers VHF/FM, MW, LW and SW Dimensions (WHD) 390 x 240 x 120 mm Net weight 3.8 kg Batteries 6 x 1.5 volt (SP2 Torch Batteries.) - Untested The 230-volt mains supply pack has failed and been removed however I have marked the supply input for connection to an aftermarket mains supply unit. The radio requires 9 volts DC as mentioned above and a suitable power supply can easily sourced on the internet. This iconic transistor radio is being sold as a project/repair or for spares. Hi,Another set from my collection.This Grundig is in average condition for its age and is in working ordertested prior to packing.Please look at the pics as they are part of this description, there are some minordings and scuffs to the cabinet.I should mention pics 7 and 8 show the rear sockets for antenna etc but I forgotto show with the sliding cover closed which is present and intact as is the batterycover which is often missing from these old sets.Tested with batteries and works as it should, there is also a figure of 8 mains socketbut I havent tested this and dont know this works.Quite heavy, will be packed well for transit.
