This is a phono preamp designed to work between a turntable and stereo system that doesnt have one built in. It works with MM type carts (the most common types). These Gram Amps sound amazing to me, and I am only selling this one because I have another one like it. Made in the UK Please ask any questions if you are unclear. The power brick that comes with this was originally for the Japanese market, and therefore includes a converter for use in the USA. It works fine and sounds wonderful.
