Rega Planar 3 turntable with Grace tonearm and Grado (Gold? or Green? cartridge/needle). For restoration or spare parts.This turntable was working fine when we moved to Australia 7 years ago. Unbeknownst to me, a US turntable (120V) will not play correctly on Australian electricity (220V), even with a step-down converter, so this was mothballed for the past several years. After returning to the US, I realized that the tonearm thread, that I believe controls the anti-skid weighting, was broken. Rather than going through the hassle of fixing it, I just got a new turntable.When plugged in, the turntable still plays, but I wasnt going to wreck any records by not having the proper tonearm adjustment. So..... Im selling this turntable. The electronics, etc.. should work fine, but Im selling this for parts. No dust-cover included (yet another reason I bought a new turntable).Grado needle has extensive hours of play, and would be good for replacement.Note that the glass platter alone is probably worth >$100. The internal wiring of the tonearm is shorted, so a new internal wiring of the tonearm is required. So I am selling AS-IS for repair or parts. The tonearm sliding base was attached using the sliding base of the Infinity Black Widow. The phono cable is a Belden cable with a Cardas 5-pin DIN connector. Offered is a Beautiful Thorens TD 160 Super. It features a Grace 707 tone arm original dust cover and a powder coated table. This piece has been well care for throughout its life. Two very minor cosmetic imperfections to mention. A small scratch near the zero just below the speed selector and a small mark on the left wood plinth that could possibly buff out.
