But of course, not everyone wants to go to those lengths - many people just want a simple record player so they can listen to the old records they might not have heard. What Goodmans have done is cleverly built a modern update of the briefcase-style record players that were popular and fashionable back in the 1960s - an all-in-one, easy to use device that can play 33.3rpm albums, 45rpm singles and even the 78rpm shellac discs from the 1940s and earlier...and it even has stereo speakers built in, so its read to go as soon as you switch it on! Of course, things have been updated a little bit: the stylus (one already fitted, so theres no need to track down the exact model you need from the millions of different types) is better quality and produces better sound than all but the very best from the 60s, and the use of modern printed circuitry inside makes it much lighter - the Goodmans, unlike its 60s forebears, truly is portable. Its got a headphone socket you you can listen without disturbing others and even an audio line-in socket so that you can connect it to a cassette player, CD player, MP3 player or even a computer and play music from the connected device through the Goodmans speakers, and because there are times when the built-in speakers arent enough there are also RCA L+R sockets round the back for connection to a hi-fi amp and speakers...after all, what many younger people forget is that anyone who was around for the 60s was also around for Arthur Brown, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, and can teach them a thing or two about loud music! Whats really impressive about this record player though, and something you wont find on many of its type, is theres also a USB socket at the back. With it, you can connect the player to a computer and easily create high quality digital copies of your records, so that you can then listen to them instead and keep your precious records in excellent condition forever. This one has been used and has a few scuffs as a result, but its all cosmetic damage and doesnt affect use at all. Its been tested by our electrical engineers to make sure its safe to use, and also bench tested to ensure everythings in full working order. Please do note, however, that it is not supplied with a mains adapter - but any universal power supply, available online from as little as £5, will work. Due to the nature of this item it is not always possible for us to identify any missing parts. Its ‘Outstanding’ services are provided free of charge to patients and their families. The aim is to provide the highest quality care, helping them to make every moment count. Around 4,000 patients are cared for each year at the Hospice in Cambridge, the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech and in patients’ own homes via the Arthur Rank Community Team. This care supports people to improve their quality of life and fulfil their end of their life choices. Alongside the care provided by the Inpatient Unit, Living Well services and Hospice at Home teams, patients can access: patient and family support; lymphoedema care; complementary therapy; medical and pain outpatient clinics; and advice from the clinical nurse specialists within the Specialist Palliative Care Home Team. Programmes are practical, holistic and tailored to the individual patient, family member or carer and may also include rehabilitative support, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychological support. It will cost £10.5 million in 2021/2022 to run services, which are provided free of charge to patients and their loved ones. Contracted services from the NHS are budgeted at £6.98 million, meaning that £3.52 million needs to be raised through donations, fundraising activities and trading.
