General Electric radio with vintage 80s appeal in working order. This model 7-2934A plays the AM and FM bands as well as NOAA weather broadcasts (162.400 - 162.550 MHz a.k.a. channels 1-7). Historically it would also play sound for US analog VHF TV channels 2-13 (54-88 MHz and 174–216 MHz) prior to those broadcasts being phased out, and still functions on those frequencies though there is little or nothing to hear. (You might pick up some resonant frequencies or a pirate broadcaster.) It is a true analog radio, so it tunes smoothly through its bands rather than stepping from one frequency to another. I havent dared to try an A/C power cord in the 6V jack because it does not indicate the correct polarity. Otherwise, the radio is tested and works properly. The antenna is intact, straight, and extends normally. Hand strap is present and does not look worn. I see some light rust on the battery contact springs, but it plays well with 4 AA batteries. It was marketed as a pocket radio despite its relatively bulky size and weight: 6-3/4 X 3-1/2 X 1-5/8 inches, 16.7 ounces with batteries. This radio is used and has some very minor cosmetic blemishes as should be expected with a used device near 40 years old. I think it presents quite well.
