I have owned these beautiful, lively and engaging headphones from new. They are a joy to look at and listen to. They have had extremely little use (probably less than 50 hours). They are in extremely good condition with only very minor cosmetic signs of use. As with most headphones, the foam earpads have lost their pleather covering through age and would need replacing if you want them to be cosmetically complete, they are however completely usable as they are, the earpads are not worn or damaged, just devoid of the pleather covering. Selling my Fostex TH909 as Im taking a break from the hobby for a bit (focusing on a house renovation). Im the second owner of this pair. Theyre in excellent condition, and they work perfectly. Im very precious about my headphones, and cycle through my collection quite a bit so that nothing gets used too often or too heavily. Theyre a wonderful headphone with strong bass impact but then excellent detailed spakling highs. Theyre also the best female vocals Ive heard in a headphone (against the Sennheiser HD600, Focal Clear, ZMF Auteur to name a few). The TH909 doesnt need a powerful amplifier, in fact you can power it straight from a phone. It is also incredible for gaming. I used mine with a Chord Mojo 2 and it paired excellently, giving an impactful and smooth sound. This pair comes with original box and packaging, unused headphone stand, unused headphone pleather bag, original unused 6.35mm cable and an additional official 1.2m Fostex 3.5mm cable (model ET-H1.2N7UB). The only reason I am selling them for such a good deal is because I realize the outer box aesthetics are important, and the coating on the left earpad looks a little oxidized or an issue from the factory, but it didnt change the feel and is hardly noticeable, as well as a newer pair is out, but if you dont care about the very outside box with the art on it or hardly noticeable cracks in one of the earpads paint and you want these headphones, then the hardware is virtually untouched.
