DerHochtöner wurde neben Focal auch in JM Lab Cobalt und anderen verbaut. Als Lautsprecher-Bastler habe ich sie irgendwann ersteigert. Das Baujahr ist mir unbekannt. Beide Treiber haben nah aufeinanderfolgende Seriennummern. Die Kalotten sind unbeschädigt, die Sicke des einen Treibers hat leichte Gebrauchsspuren ohne klanglichen Einfluss. Die Nominalimpedanz ist 8 Ohm, gemessen ca. 6 Ohm, s. Fotos. Das sind sehr angenehm fein klingende Hochtöner, wenn man sie etwas einbremst (Geschmackssache). This unit was sent to Focal Naim for service in June of 2022. The unit was recapped, set to US 115 volts, and all the DIN connectors were upgraded to new locking types. This item has been tested and is in complete operational condition. Both channels are clean and clear with no hum, buzz, noise, or distortion. Interior inspected, no burned or cracked electrical components. I have been listening to this unit and find no faults. I tested with Naim components 32-5, 112, and 250 amplifier to evaluate the correct operation all good. The sound was absolutely superb, a properly working serviced HiCap makes a NOTICEABLE difference. Cosmetic condition is absolutely exceptional this is a top notch example both physically and operationally you would not be disappointed. Very fresh looking, physically clean inside and out, no dirt or nicotine contamination. As time goes on it is gettin more difficult to find these classic CB pieces in this wonderful shape.
