Offered for your consideration is a Focal-JMlab part number 5VE3251 142mm (5½ inch nominal) polyglass cone mid/bass woofer removed from my Chorus 705 speakers, manufactured c.2001. This capable woofer was crafted from a powdered glass-coated paper cone suspended in a rugged injection-molded frame.So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this superb mid/bass woofer is correct for your needs.*Although the listing is written in singular to avoid any confusion, two (2) identical Focal-JMlab woofers are available at time of this writing. Please choose if you’d like to buy one or both in the quantity field at the top of the listing. The shipping cost will be automatically calculated by eBay checkout. This Focal-JMlab woofer is in clean, basically pristine condition. It has a cosmetically and structurally perfect cone with flawless voice coil center cap and permanent rubber surround. Plus, the black injection-molded polymer basket is also in perfect shape. And, the +/- input terminals are marked for polarity on the basket and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this Focal mid/woofer looks practically new! Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds terrific—very detailed with clear, fast mid frequency coverage, and good low-end for the platform size. Plus, the DC resistance tested at 4.0?, consistent with a 4 ohm nominal driver rating. Lastly, the basket flange measures 5 9/16” square, it stands 3¼” tall (incl. surround roll), and the mount holes are spaced 4 ?16” adjacent / 5¾” on the diagonal apart, c-t-c.So, if you have a blown or damaged mid/bass driver in your Chorus 705, you’ve found the right listing—your speakers will be sounding their best once again!
