Up for auction is an Arcam FMJ-DV-139 universal disc player. Retail on this new was over $2000.00. It is in excellent used condition. I used this exclusively as a CD/SACD/DVD-Audio player, so I cant really comment on its performance as a DVD player, but it is considered to be one of the best. As an audio player it is superb, sounding terrific no matter what its playing. It has a CD-Direct mode that turns off the video circuits during audio play to maximize audio resolution. Arcam BDP100 Blu-Ray Player. I am reluctantly selling the main digital source from my system - but I just don’t have the room for it anymore and find myself either streaming or playing LP’s. I have been using this almost exclusively as a high end CD player which it is ideally suited to, especially paired with a good DAC. Oh - and it plays DVDs and Blu-Rays. I don’t think the reviews at the time praised it too much on the video side of things, but was always a solid audio player. Built like a brick outhouse. Continuing my downsizing excercise, here is my main cd player, the legendary Arcam FMJ-CD23T. This is the later version which has text reading and it also plays HDCD discs for better quality. It is in very good condition (small mark on top casing at the back as shown in the photo) and full working order. It has been security marked to prevent component swapping and delivery will be Parcelforce48. You will receive the CD23T, mains lead and generic remote control. Nothing else is included. Until a few months ago this player has been working perfectly but the analogue outputs have now stopped working and there is no output to my amplifier. I have tested it on the other amp inputs and used alternative cables but it still does not work. It is not my amplifier at fault as I have tried an alternative cd player which works fine. However the coax digital output works perfectly so the unit could be used as a pure cd transport if you have a DAC or amplifier with DAC built in. I have been using it like this myself for a while. Someone with the time and electrical skill might be able to fix the analogue output. Complete with remote and manual, plus original box. Will post via Parcel Force 48.
