This is a Nelson Pass designed First Watt model F5 that I built. 25 watts per channel class A. Two Hammond 1182G18 power transformers at 225 VA each for a total of 450 VA. These transformers retail for $89 each. All Vishay precision resistors. Massive heat sinks. I used a high quality circuit board widely available here on eBay. (see pic) No hum. Dead quiet. Power supply filter board is the one recommended for First Watt builds. You will find that this amp is evenly balanced across the frequency spectrum unlike cheap solid state amps that tend to have bass and highs but all the midrange is sucked out. Being a class A amp it runs HOT. THIS IS NORMAL. The heat sinks get up to about 50 degrees C which is how it should run. You can buy a new First Watt amp for about $4,000. Heres an opportunity to see what all the fuss is about for a lot less. Power cord included. This is a Nelson Pass designed ACA (Amp Camp Amp) that I built with a massive analog power supply. (The typical SMPS brick power supply supplied with the kit you can buy is a joke.). If you are a builder this is a great platform for building any of the Pass First Watt amps. All you have to do is bolt the power transistors to the massive single heat sink and mount the two amplifier boards. The power transformer is an Antek AS-4220 - 400VA 20V TRANSFORMER. Each filter board is 40,000 mfd of audio grade capacitors. As it stands it is an ACA with a lot of grunt and transparency thanks to the oversized analog power supply. It runs HOT. THIS IS NORMAL for a class A biased amplifier. The heat sink gets up to about 50C when it is fully warmed up which is where it should be. NO BOTTOM PLATE. Includes power cord. Nelson Pass First Watt F4 25W Class A Amplifier, built inside NAD 208 case. Smooth detailed sound not for low efficiency speakers. Like everything else from First Watt the F4 is a unique amplifier. It has no feedback and no voltage gain, only current gain, it will deliver up to 25 watts into 8 ohms and 50 watts into 4 ohms. It is built as dual-mono circuit boards, powered by a 500w toroidal transformer and filtered with 86000uf per channel. It has a soft starter with thermal protection, speaker protection, rhodium plated RCA and banana sockets, input and output wires are silver plated OFC. The combination of a simple Class A circuit operated without feedback and the good objective performance gives us a superb sounding amplifier. The low distortion, bandwidth extension, and high damping results in midrange clarity, treble detail, and control on the bottom end. While these are available from most good solid state amplifiers, the F4 also brings depth, imaging, midrange warmth and top-end sweetness.

First Watt M2 Audiophile Amplifier. Nelson Pass is a genius! I consider his amplifier designs absolutely brilliant. This is the best sounding amplifier Ive ever owned. The M2 is rated at 25w/8 ohms and 50w/4 ohms. This amp produces so much current it even drives my Magnepan LRS! I am the second owner. Unit is maintained in an air-conditioned, pet free environment. Buy with confidence, Ive been a member of the other audiophile site for 20 years. I dont have the original box but will be well packed (see photos). CONUS only.

First Watt F5 (Clone) Class A Amplifier. Up for sale is an amazing Class A amplifier and desired by many. I have built this amplifier out of curiosity as I have been told it is absolutely amazing, and it is, but I still prefer my Aleph . It is built as dual-mono, and each channel it is powered by a 200w toroidal transformer and filtered with 66000uf per rail (264000uf for both channels) CRC filter. It has a soft starter with thermal protection, speaker protection (powered by a 3rd transformer), rhodium plated RCA and banana sockets, input and output wires are silver plated OFC . After 3 hours of use, the heatsinks reached 45 Celsius and the power transformer 49.5 Celsius with a room temperature of 21.5 Celsius. There are some extra holes because I used to have the Aleph 3 (spare unit) installed before Collection only please Any questions please feel free to ask
