These are fully active loudspeakers, containing Class AB power amplifiers (100W each) and analogue crossovers. NOT WIFI or Bluetooth enabled. They do require a mains supply but thats little different to having a loudspeaker cable. They can be driven directly from a stereo preamp (Ive been using an Audiolab 6000a) , they can also be driven from a good quality DAC (youd want volume control to control the pair) or even a mobile phone.
