Hand built adapter by headphone specialist Empire Ears which allows a headphone cable terminated with a balanced 2.5mm male jack to be inserted into a balanced 4.4mm female socket. The item is in excellent condition with no damage or corrosion. Finish of the item as supplied by Empire is a little bit DIY with not quite even trimming of the sleeve but this is evidence of its hand built origins and it is wonderfully transparent device with no change in audio quality when the adapter is in use. A life saver if you don’t want to change terminations on a favourite cable but do want to take advantage of a balanced socket on a portable music server. Comes in original packet.

This one was part of a store inventory buyout- and was found in a drawer marked demo carts. The diamond tip is clean and sharp and the cantilever is perfectly straight. We play tested this on a Yamaha YP-D8 table at 1.2 grams- and tracks very nicely with no suspension sag!! This package includes the cartridge with its original genuine S5000 (aka S-EDR.9) stylus, some hardware, screwdriver, and stylus brush. Cardboard outer box and manual are missing unfortunately. Shipping within the USA is $12.00 ($2.00 each additional)-- via insured USPS PRIORITY MAIL with Signature Confirmation -- elsewhere please see the shipping calculator. Vintage phono cart from the estate of a man who I believe was a hi-fi dealer back in the day. This cart appears to have never been removed from its box or installed/used. I have not attempted to test it in any way, but will guarantee it to be free from any major defects. Here it is!! The very rare Empire EDR.9 phono cartridge!! It is highly coveted by Empire afficionados and rarely turns up with the original stylus!!. The LAC diamond tip is very clean and sharp, the cantilever is perfectly straight, and the suspension is exactly as it should be. This package includes the cartridge with its original genuine S5000 (aka SEDR.9) stylus, some hardware, screwdriver, and stylus brush. Cardboard outer box and manual are missing unfortunately.
