We have an Emerson EWD2004 VCR/DVD Combo. The VCR works flawlessly but I cannot get the DVD player to work. It is not receiving power. I have taken it apart multiple times and ran many tests on this unit but I cannot get the DVD player to work. Its just not powering on. I have invested too much time and money into this thing and I just want to get rid of it. An educated guess is that the DVD drive needs to be replaced which I am just not willing to do. Remote not included. The VCR works perfectly. It was eating tapes at first but that was an easy fix. This DVD/CD player has good sound and display. No remote but with the buttons on the front can work just fine. Every 5 minutes or so the screen will fade out black for like half a second which honestly isnt a big issue but just to keep that in mind, this may just be my disc tho because my disc was very scratched.
