RARE Vintage Cambridge SoundWorks Model Eleven Transportable Component Music System. Introduced in 1991, this system is a direct descendant of Henry Klosss KLH Model 11. The system comprises the BassCase, which acts as a suitcase and houses the woofer, two satellite speakers, an amplifier, two 15 cables for the satellites, and a 20 cable for the BassCase. Dimensions of BassCase:Overall weight: 21.1 lbs In excellent working order - tested. Some signs of wear as shown in photographs. The following is quoted from a review in Hi-Fi Classic: The BassCase measures 19-1/2x 16-1/2 x 6-1/4 inches and is made of a composite materialwith a 5/8-inch-thick rigid foam core and outer layers of high-strength,luggage-grade plastic. TheBassCase holds a single 7-inch, long-throw acoustic-suspension woofer. Internalstruts and a transverse rib add strength and form an airtight seal when thecase is closed with its four heavy-duty, toggle-locking latches. Internaldamping is supplied by a soft foam chosen for its acoustic properties. The foamhas cutouts for the systems two satellite speakers, its miniature amplifier,and a personal CD player or radio/cassette player. The supplied cables (two15-foot lengths for the satellites and a 20-foot length for the BassCase) wraparound the woofers magnet structure for transportation.
