A very nice Electrocompaniet ECI-1 amplifier in excellent condition. 2 x 100watts.Produced in 1998 in the original Electrocompaniet factory at Skårer, Norway.Upgraded in 2003 in the same place.Upgraded to kit 1 & 2. Receipt, user manual, inspection card and power cord is included. Only 2 minor marks on chassis (see picture 7).
Electrocompaniet ECP-1 MM/MC Phono Preamplifier. RCA (unbalanced) inputs & outputs. I am the second owner. Classy, beautiful phono preamplifier. The ELECTROCOMPANIET trademark acrylic faceplate makes the ECP-1 stand out in the crowd of the competition. This ECP-1 is not functional. I sell it for service or spare parts. The problem is that the MM/MC selector switch does not work and needs replacement. Otherwise the unit should function perfectly, as it did for many years before the MM/MC selector switch problem appears. I have been using it many years with MM cartridges. The sound is simply amazing. I am sure you can find many excellent reviews in the internet. They all agree that this is one of the best phono sections money can buy. However, this problem with the MM/MC selector switch appeared about a year ago, and I am not in a position to fix it. The cosmetic condition is very good, considering its age. There is a dent in the lower right corner of the acrylic faceplate, visible in the photos. This dent does not affect the ECP-1’s performance at all. Please look at the actual photos accompanying this auction, as they present the actual cosmetic state of the amplifier better than words. Please note that a new replacement ECP-2 MkII costs about 2500 EUROs in Greece. Item location is KARDITSA 43131, GREECE. I will ship only in EU. Collection is welcome. This single unit is able to play whichever, wherever and whatever audio source you may have, and makes it sound like music was meant to be sounding. A fantastic sounding hifi solution, the power amp section has incredible control over the speakers. The pre-amp section is highly impressive (also having pre-amp outs if needed, more on the connections in a moment), so you can input analogue sources with its rca ins and balanced xlr ins (see the photo of the back panel). Its Dac has a comprehensive set of ins including USB. It has 2 toslink digital optical ins where more often than not Dacs will only have one, and 2 coaxial digital ins too. For streaming it is Roon Ready for streaming your own library of flac files (and other formats), and Tidal/Qobuz from Roon. Dont have Roon? No problem, Tidal, Qobuz and Spotify are supported through Electrocompaniets app. Also in the case of Tidal, you can just use Tidals own app because it will see the Electrocompaniet as an output (Tidal Connect) AND similarly you can play directly from Spotifys app (Spotify Connect). Bluetooth, Airplay, Airplay2. Internet radio. Playing from DLNA servers... it does so much. Aside from the huge connectivity, it simply sounds fantastic. Wir haben das Gerät überprüft, es funktioniert grundsätzlich, es gibt jedoch gelegentlich Kanalausetzer bzw. Kanaldifferenzen und hohen Klirr. Wir vermuten, dass die Fehler durch die Lautsprecherrelais verursacht werden. Weitere Funktionsprüfungen wurden nicht unternommen. Aus diesem Grund versteigern wir die Endstufe als DEFEKT. Optisch zeigt das Gerät deutliche Gebrauchsspuren, besonders eine starke Spur an der Frontplatte (s. Fotos). We have checked the device, it works basically, but there are occasional channel dropouts or channel differences and high distortion. We suspect that the faults are caused by the speaker relays. No further functional tests were undertaken. For this reason, we are auctioning off the power amplifier as DEFECTIVE. Visually, the device shows clear signs of wear, especially a strong trace on the front panel (see photos).
