Electrocompaniet ECI 6DX MKII Amp/Dac/Streamer The new ECI 6 DX MKII combines a best-in-class feature set with cutting edge audio technology and true Electrocompaniet sound. This single unit is able to play whichever, wherever and whatever audio source you may have, and makes it sound like music was meant to be sounding. A fantastic sounding hifi solution, the power amp section has incredible control over the speakers. The pre-amp section is highly impressive (also having pre-amp outs if needed, more on the connections in a moment), so you can input analogue sources with its rca ins and balanced xlr ins (see the photo of the back panel). Its Dac has a comprehensive set of ins including USB. It has 2 toslink digital optical ins where more often than not Dacs will only have one, and 2 coaxial digital ins too. For streaming it is Roon Ready for streaming your own library of flac files (and other formats), and Tidal/Qobuz from Roon. Dont have Roon? No problem, Tidal, Qobuz and Spotify are supported through Electrocompaniets app. Also in the case of Tidal, you can just use Tidals own app because it will see the Electrocompaniet as an output (Tidal Connect) AND similarly you can play directly from Spotifys app (Spotify Connect). Bluetooth, Airplay, Airplay2. Internet radio. Playing from DLNA servers... it does so much. Aside from the huge connectivity, it simply sounds fantastic. Its worth reading even more on the specs if youre interested in things like its AV mode for effectively using it as a fixed gain poweramp (youll know if youre heavily into Electrocompaniet already). Oh, and of course it is also in its original box with remote control hardly touched (I was using an all-in-one 3rd party remote so never really used it).
