Mit Hilfe eines Schalters lässt sich der gewünschte Eingang bestimmen und die anschließende Ausgabe erfolgt über einen 2-Kanal-RCA-Ausgang. Im Inneren des Gerätes übernimmt ein hochwertiger AK4396-Chip die verlustfreie Konvertierung von digital zu analog. Der handliche DAC Edition 40 ist geeignet für Audio-Quellen im PCM-Format und unterstützt Audiosignale bis zu 192kHz/24Bit. Zur Stromversorgung dient der USB-Anschluss oder der Netzteil-Stecker. (Dolby und DTS Formate werden nicht decodiert). Einer der wichtigsten Schritte bei der hochwertigen Musikreproduktion ist die Digital-/Analog-Wandlung elektrischer Signale. Bei Oehlbach setzen wir daher ausschließlich auf streng selektierte Bauteile mit qualitativ überdurchschnittlichen technischen Eigenschaften. Der AK4396 D/A-Converter ist für hochauflösende Abtastraten mit bis zu 192 kHz/24-Bit geeignet und liefert trotz des enormen Frequenzspektrums nur ein Minimum an nichtlinearen Verzerrungen. Auch die extrem hohe Toleranz gegenüber dem digitalen Jitter zeichnet den Stereo D/A-Wandler von Asahi Kasei aus. Neben PCM werden auch 1-Bit DSD-Datensignale, die für eine perfekte Wiedergabe von DVD-Audio und SACD-Medien notwendig sind, verarbeitet.
