This high-output Dynavector 10X4 MK II moving coil phono cartridge has a broken cantilever and missing stylus, ready for re-tip or trade-in to Dynavector for 20 percent percent of the value of a new one. This means you can use this to get a brand new $800 10x5 for $640 or a new $1250 20X5 for only $1000. Of course if youre able to retip it yourself or know a good retipper you can have a very good cartridge for the price of an entry-level moving coil. Just taken on trade from a great client who upgraded. This DV-20 x was on a VPI scout. He keeps good records of usage and estimates the time on the stylus to be about 250 hours so plenty of life in the cart. I cleaned the stylus and looked under my scope and stylus looks 100%. This is the 2.8mV version. DV 20X has a solid aluminum alloy body and a rigid magnet construction similar to XX-2 MkII. The cantilever is a 6mm length of hard aluminum pipe with a Micro-Ridge stylus. The magnetic flux damping and softened magnetism along with powerful neodymium magnets gives the 20X2-H a healthy 2.8 mV output - suitable for most MM inputs. The 20X2-L has an output of 0.3 mV ideal for most MC phono stages. Both high and low versions of their 20X2 are available ensure for the optimum end result. The high output model is well suited to valve preamplifiers or electronics that only offer MM inputs whilst the low output version offers superb performance when combined with dedicated moving coil inputs.
