This auction is for a used Sony Dual ES Cassette Deck. Its auto-reverse on both decks and can record on both decks in both directions as well. It has all the Dolby options - B, C, and S as well as a defeatable MPX filter (tied to Dolby, required when recording from analog FM). The deck went through full mechanical and electrical service, including replacing all the belts and pinch rollers, checking tape path alignment, adjusting playback and recording to factory spec. See the video for a recording example. Please note that the deck has few scratches, especially on top from everyday use. See the pictures for details. To connect the deck to a modern receiver (as in the video) use zone 2 outputs as recording inputs to the deck and use a CD (or any other unused) input on the receiver for decks playback outputs. This way you can select CD in the main zone and whatever you want to record from in zone 2. This deck is one of the last ones that was made in Japan before production of future units was moved to other parts of Asia. It comes with a printed copy of the manual and a blank tape to get you started. Rest assured, it will be well packed and should arrive to you intact.
