Offered is a Dual CS 1257 turntable center single spindle, Dual logo 45 RPM adapter, plastic accessory holder, and the two mounting screws for a Dual CS 1257 turntable - see image of unit back provided for reference. May work on other Dual models - do your homework, again this was removed from a CS 1257. Condition is used. Parts are in excellent condition. Dual logo 45 RPM adapter, these are usually missing when you find the tables. You are getting the plastic accessory holder that mounts on the back right of the 1257 - this holds the additional stacker spindle (not included) and the 45 RPM adapter snaps on the top. These are common to have broken tabs - this one is complete. Incudes the two screws - easy to replace without taking the table out of the base. And, you are getting the single spindle! Stanton L20 Cartridge with new Stanton D71EE Diamond stylus for excellent sound quality. • The beauty of this Dual 1257 is that it can continually play up to 6 33 albums at a time ( roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes ) or 6 45 RPM records and automatically shuts off after the last album or record on the spindle. *The Cue ( tone arm lift works) and can pause a 33 album or 45 record for as long as you like. * Manufactured in Germany between 1979 and 1980 . * Has a highly Polished Dual Maple wood Plinth. A little history: The original Dual factory in Germany was next to a cuckoo clock factory and that where Dual learned to make the precision gears and parts to make multi-play turntables which cannot be manufactured or duplicated today. Features: • Stroboscope used for setting 33 1/3 and 45 RPM records carried out by pitch control knob. • Multi Play spindle. • Precision flat belt drive for the flywheel. • Looks like new. • Some amplifiers will need a small $30 pre amp to play. • Dual TT. • Fully restored to excellent condition nothing more to be done. • This table has been completely rebuilt. New steurpimple, tonearm vertically balanced and set. Fully degreased and lubricated, leveled, cued, and set speed. • The Ultra-Low Mass tonearm can pause an album as long as desired. • Except to manually start an album, never move the tonearm. • The 1257 has 249 parts that all must work precisely together in order for the device to work properly not including the electronics in it. . These rebuilds take weeks to compete. Once properly set up it will be silent, smooth, reliable, and play flawlessly for many years. • This turntable can play 33 & 45 rpm speeds. You might occasionally need to use the cue to reset the speed. • I recommend leaving the devise in multi-play mode. • I highly recommend not purchasing any Dual turntable that does not claim to operate perfectly, or advertised as “works” or doesn’t have a spindle. Fixing these is an unparalleled tedious skill. •Due to the age of this device & the uncertain nature of vintage electronics.
