Upgraded with Genuine Panasonic FM psu caps from Mouser and Audionote caps from Parts Cnxn in audio section. Soldered with Cardas tin, silver and copper solder. Entirely different animal. The once muffled mids are now extended, rich, and very fast. The preamp section is absolutely fantastic. On another level compared to some preamps up to $3k I have owned in the past. Fast as lightning. Not the final word in bass slam but definitely deep and clean, while being very true to tone. Much more open and expanded sound stage. Details are impressive. Gone is that through a plastic tube sound. Sweet Dreams by the Eurthmics is a must hear. Through my old Sennheiser HD515 headphones they are very clear and clean and good bass. So much better than as received.
