My brother has had the machine for a few years, unfortunately when he moved house he was not able to put up a satellite dish and therefore has only been able to watch DVD/ Blu-Rays, therefore he has, reluctantly, decided to sell it. We recently took it to a friends and hooked it up to his satellite and I am able to confirm that tv channels were receieved ok. Freesat is great when you live in an area that has poor TV reception via an aerial I am not aware of all its functions or really able to describe it technically so I suggest that you Google its full spec, original cost of this machine when Panasonic brought it out was near to £1000! It is in excellent condition, no scratches, dents etc.. and has been well looked after. Comes with original Panasonic hand controller, power cable and full operating instructions. From a smoke and pet free home. Any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer. Will post (1st class Royal Mail signed for as I have had problems with couriers) but would prefer it be collected in person from Malvern. If you chose post, it will be extremely well wrapped and protected with several layers of bubble wrap and a box (not the original but still sturdy). The DMR-BS850 is the first product to hit the UK that combines a Freesat+ PVR with a Blu-ray player/recorder. Thats right, not just a 500GB hard disk to fill with high-definition content, but also the chance to archive HD to Blu-ray disc. Standing a tad taller than Panasonics BD player, its an achievement in terms of design. Its a similar story with the familiar but beefed-up remote control, the few extra buttons not diminishing from a fairly clean and intuitive layout. A pair of Freesat+ tuners Twin Freesat+ tuners give you plenty of flexibility. You can record two programmes at once, pause and rewind live TV and series record.
