This is a Denon DRM-650S is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B/C/S and HX-Pro noise reduction, first sold in 1995. It features 2 heads, digital tape counter with 4 digits, tape type selection and is capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes. It has a belt driven single-capstan transport. This deck has been extensively tested and it all appears to work as new. It has some very light wear but is in excellent shape despite being nearly 30 years old. Before I describe the deck, I must mention that it has a channel imbalance, in that the left channel output is very quiet. Im sure this would be an easy fix for someone with the knowhow. Apart from this issue, it is in amazing condition throughout. This deck means business and is a joy to use. It sounds absolutely incredible on both playback and recording. With Dolby B, C and S onboard, you can make amazing clear and beautiful recordings in your own home that are exceptionally faithful to the original source. Please take a look at the pictures to see just how great condition this Denon is in. There is one light surface scratch on the left hand side of the screen but its hardly noticeable. This deck looks gorgeous and sounds even better. It records and plays very well, its mechanism is very clean for its age and a few years ago it was fitted with new belts. It has logic controls and a 2 motor system. There are few minor, in my opinion marks (as per pictures), but it is a very well looked after deck. The display, door and buttons are function as they should. Sometimes it makes a weird noise that lasts few seconds or more, while start to play or forwarding or reversing a tape. If it happens to do it when i will play a tape, if I will stop it and then play the take the sound has disappeared. Usually it happens when I will use it after sometime of inactivity. This started after it was fitted with the new belts, but the mechanic said not to worry about it, and I do not. I was hoping that this will be captured on the video that I have uploaded on here, but it didn’t happen. Other this sound, it works as it should. Please check pictures for its overall condition, as the pictures are part of the description. For sale it the deck (unit) only, no leads supplied with it par its power cable (as per picture). Verkaufe hier ein Denon Kassettenlaufwerk DRM-650S. Das Laufwerk habe ich selber vor ca. 5-6 Jahren gebraucht und mit neuen Riemen gekauft. Haupt Kaufgrund war, dass auch Dolby S Aufgenommen/Abgespielt werden kann. Nun habe ich es doch so selten benutzt, hatte vor 3 Monaten mehre Kassetten überspielt soweit alles in Ordnung. Anleitung liegt bei, ist leider etwas verknickt. Vor dem verpacken nochmal getestet und dabei ist mir lediglich auf gefallen das ein leichtes kratzen beim verstellen der Potis vorhanden ist.
