Digital tape counter with 4 digits. Automatic tape type selection, capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes. Belt-driven single-capstan transport. Mechanical tape ejection. Digital peak level meters. Headphones jack. Full-logic transport controls let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection. Dolby C-type used in the DR-M12HX provides 20 dB of noise reduction above 1,000 Hz, fully doubling the amount given by B-type. The Dolby HX PRO system provides precise bias control during recording to reduce distortion and improve linearity in the high-frequency range. The result is recorded sound that is highly faithful to the original. An exceptional cassette deck.

Visually the face is in good used condition, the top is scratched in various places (see photos) Functionality wise the system powers on, play works but is slow and only stays on if the play button is held, fast forward and rewind make a sound like the motor is turning but nothing moves, most likely needs new belts, for this reason we are selling as parts / not working. Outer case does have a few marks from storage and previous use. Please see photos. This wouldn’t be seen if it was used in a stack system.
