Offered is a Denon DCD-1500 CD Player with original RC-1500 Remote Control, Operating Instructions Book, and original box / packing material. Unit Made in Japan, has a date code of 8511 - assuming this is November of 1985, SN 1550786. Condition is for parts / repair. The unit is clean on the outside and inside - see images. There is a scratch over the Denon on the CD drawer - see image 14. There is a scratch on the top - see image 9 and some markings from where other equipment was stacked on it. The LCD window is crack free and all icons illuminate - I was able to get various screens to show - see images. The remote is clean front and back, the battery compartment is corrosion free, battery cover slides on/off/locks in place as it should. With batteries the remote worked. Remote requires two AA batteries (not included). The unit powers on, makes a spinning noise, then stops - see video on what it is doing. May be a simple fix - I dont know. For this reason it is being sold AS IS FOR PARTS / REPAIR. Includes the original box, plastic wrap, and the two foam side pieces. The box is dried out from storage and is not appropriate for shipping. It has two sides that are split - see images. It will be packed in the original box with the original foam pieces and shipped in a second box to insure safe delivery and to conceal the contents. Really nice CD player, at the time this was a high end unit. Intension was to use this as a nice test cd player but I dont have the time for projects so passing it on to someone who can appreciate it and hopefully get it running.
