Description
Good working condition AV receiver with lots of legacy inputs that arent included on most modern gear these days. May be a great way to connect some legacy gear. Works well and sounds pretty good by today’s standards. Still can decode Dolby TrueHD and the codecs of that era. No persistent issues and has been in use since I bought from Crutchfield as a scratch and dent item for around $1600 in 2012. I think this thing was around $2000 brand new back then. I think in that time I’ve done a factory reset 2-3 times, but not in at least 5 years in weekly use. I found that as I got better speakers I preferred not using the room correction. It seems to be somewhat inconsistent, but I think it’s the software and the time of implementation, not a problem with this unit per se. I’ve had similar results with other gear and room correction. Out of three measurement sessions, one may be decent, one pretty good, and one that doesn’t sound quite right. It seems more consistent the more symmetrical the speaker layout. To reiterate, I don’t think it’s a problem with this unit as I’ve had similar experience with 3-4 other devices and room correction software. I just think things sound better in my space not using Audyssey room correction. The only notable damage is a fairly minor dent in the top right of the back panel viewed from front, also pictured. It came to me this way and doesn’t seem to have any issues that I have experienced in in 12 years. No other cosmetic issues beyond normal use by someone that tries to take care of stuff. No functional issues that I have encountered. Much better than more modern stuff that seems riddled with bugs. Comes in original box with remotes and Audyssey mic and what I believe to be all the accessories. I’m reducing my electronics to help cover costs for house remodel and more minimalist lifestyle.
