Denon MTP 702 Z - Belt Drive TurntableExcellent old machine for real audiophiles who like real things and not plastic toys. Im dealing with hi fi for about 25 years and have owned a dozen turntables. I heard how this device how sounds at a friends house and was amazed, after some time my uncle in Japan found a piece for me. Which phono player from newer production and even from older models has a cabinet has with structure that combines a 3mm thick aluminum die-cast motor board and a wooden cabinet ?I think there is no better isolation from vibrations and unwanted effects that cartridges do not suffer. Ingeniously made device, it just needs a little tidying up, put together and a some excellent cartridge and you wont believe how it sounds.To me It was important to me how it was preserved on the outside, because old machines like this definitely have to be serviced . This piece is in very good condition with a little cosmetic touch up, it will look like new on the outside. As far as the operation of the machine is concerned, the device does not show that to get to power . These turntables do not have many electronics and are easy to fix and put in working condition . So only need a good service to bring the device to working condition. I would like to mention again that it was important to me that the device was ok on the outside, and the internal drive was not so important to me because I had already serviced several similar devices.
