That cartridge is vivid, intimate, and transparent to almost a fault. Kind of like looking through those clear waters in the Caribbean and seeing all the aquatic life flitting on by. The Denon is more like a bubbling brook, smooth, relaxing, yet remarkably textured and commutative. This was Denons Top of the Line when New. Works great as a Receiver or Pre Amp. When using surround sound there is static in rear channels. Sounds just fine when just using 2 channel stereo. Remote works great . Very high build quality means its also very heavy at over 35 pounds .
