Up for sale is a used Denafrips Ares ii dac i purchased from ebay about two months back. The unit came to me with a small imperfections one on the front panel and one stripped screw that i will place electrical tape over so it is easily identifiable. because of these imperfections im rating this dac a C+ cosmetically but an (A) for functionality and sound quality. Please study the pictures and understand the Dac is not perfect but works as intended. I am selling because I’m upgrading to a higher tier model. The external casing is matte black and utilitarian, plus there are no creature comforts like volume control, menu, or an LCD screen to show status. As it is, you have to depend on tiny LED lights on the front panel to get basic information (source and sample rate), but the system works.

Barely used Ares II purchased directly from vinshine audio in 7/21. This DAC was in my 2nd system and barely used (maybe 2-3 months?). This is because I liked the sound so much I purchased a Pontus II and then a Terminator. So the Ares II has been sitting in a box in my closet for quite awhile. I need to clear out space for new equipment (you know how it goes!). It functions flawlessly and there are no notable scratches. Sounds great! I will include an AC power cord upon buyer request.
