TECHNICS SL-D202 DIRECT DRIVE AUTO RETURN TURNTABLE WITH ORIGINAL DUST COVER, TONE ARM.Pick up is preferred from London E17, Walthamstow although I will also post. This turntable has been owned by me since the mid 90s, bought from someone I knew who looked after their kit. The tracking and sound quality is still fantastic. The stylus was bought about 18 months ago (replacements are freely available) and the manual that I will include is a photocopy of an original. And Ill include the Technics slip map from photos. After some regular use it was stored for several years and then used again for last 10 years. It has been cared for and looked after well. Things to make clear: As shown clearly in the extra photos, the dust cover hinges have snapped. The lid can still be raised so that it stays open as the plastic lid hinges do still partly slot into their housing, it is not as smooth and stable as if they were still fully intact and so will either need a repair or a something behind the deck to prop it against. One of the plastic ends is still in the housing and could also be glued back on which may be enough to hold it in place as normal. The lid has some marks and scuffs and also discolouration from age/being in a room with sunlight, it may clean up a little with close attention but I have given it a wipe and the marks stay the same. The pitch adjuster has become very sensitive over time, meaning only slight touches of the pitch wheel cause quite significant movements in speed.The manual,which I will include a copy of, shows how to adjust this setting but to be honest Im not that technical and as this a valuable piece of kit I didnt want to risk any damage. I have used the turntable with this quirk without any problems.

As it does not raise, the automatic return drags the needle across the record to the armrest. May be useful for parts/refurb as the rest of it seems to work okay. Just beyond my capabilities to fix, as the turntable was inherited by myself! If anyone has any questions, just ask and I’ll do my best (albeit with slightly limited knowledge) to answer.
