CROWN PSA-2 AUDIO POWER AMPLIFIER I utilized several of these in my home theater system and now Im scaling that sound system back as Im getting older and selling three of my venerable PSA-2s. They are labeled A, B, and C in three separate auctions. Youve seen PSA-2s for sale on eBay from time to time with some sellers giving you the ebbie-gibbies as to whether its safe to buy them or not. Some of these on eBay have photos that show front panel indicator light combinations on that would indicate an undisclosed fault with the unit. This unit for sale is (B). When the unit is powered on, there is only one combination of indicator light actions that you will see on a healthy PSA-2. Look at my photos and this is what you should expect: - Amplifier plugged in but not turned on: No lights - Power turned on: IOC red, yellow standby, and red on - Next after power turned on: Green signal, yellow standby, and red on - Next after power turned on: Yellow standby and red on - Next after power turned on: Red onWhen you send a signal to the amplifier, you should expect: Green signal and red onWhen you turn the amplifier off, you should expect: IOC red to flash and red on to go off All three of my PSA-2s for sale operate properly. There are no intermittent issues. Ive checked and found that control voltage to be exactly at 15v+ and 15v- per the specifications. The cooling fan only runs at the speed that is supposed to and in my testing with JBL L100s they never got warm enough to warrant anything other than low speed which is near silent. Ive run each of these for over an hour as I was taking the photos and confirm proper operation. Check out all three of them, as there are some differences regarding handles, fan foams, scratches/surface imperfections, and included balanced inputs. This unit for sale is (B).
