The tape deck and microphone have not been tested, but I tested them for about an hour and they seemed stable and in very good condition. There are scratches and stains as you would expect. I have cleaned it but have not been able to remove it. There is a crack in the plastic surrounding the speaker jack A and it sticks out in the front, so you have to be a little careful when connecting the speaker cord, but it connects properly. The sound is excellent, delicate and clear, and as is typical of Yamaha amplifiers, the low frequency range is well reproduced.
