These are my Thiel 1.2 speakers, I have not used them for a year so its time to sell. They are in very good condition as you can see in the pictures. The wood is beautiful but does have a few small scratches on the bottom of the sides. These are not visible in normal use. The cones and surrounds are perfect. Having been a collector of Phase Technology speakers from the jump, there is a genuine sense of pride in being on the ground floor with this amazing American speaker manufacturer. Phase Technology was actually first known as United Speaker, a company established in 1955 by William Hecht, the inventor of both the soft dome tweeter and dome midrange driver. United Speaker manufactured speakers for Fisher, McIntosh, MCS (JC Penney), and others. United Speaker later became known as Phase Technology in 1981 when they left New Jersey and built a state of the art manufacturing facility in Florida. Phase Tech is still in business to this day and this is where Bill Hecht designed the flat piston driver. The PC60 is such an iconic speaker Phase Tech reintroduced them to the marketplace on their 60th anniversary as the PC60 Classic at a retail price of $1,700.00. This listing is for an original pair of PC60 two way speakers and the ultra rare companion subwoofer, the PC50. This was a major purchase back in the day that never once brought regret or trepidation. The PC50 is designed to work specifically with the PC60 speakers. It is an 8 OHM bottom firing subwoofer with a 10 flat piston woofer, has a frequency range of 30-150 Hz an 87 dB Sensitivity rating, and has a High Pass crossover network frequency of 150 Hz.
