This wonderful little separate handles both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges. Cartridge style and pre-load are selected using beautifully crafted toggle switches on the underside of the phono stage (see pics above for layout). The Clearaudio Smart also comes with a built-in headphone amplifier for private listening sessions. This phono stage, in an all aluminum chassis, sounds wonderful.
